About the event
Translucent refers to a material that allows light to pass through but scatters it, making objects behind it appear blurred or unclear. This property is different from transparency, where light passes through without significant scattering, allowing for a clear view of objects behind the material.
This exploration challenges you to create two different and distinct images, one that illustrates translucency and the other transparency. Any suitable subject materials may be chosen, but experimentation is necessary – especially to determine the best exposure to illustrate the effects the properties of light passing through objects of different properties.
Again – experiment it’s not about any “correct” answer but a chance to share perceptions and emotional responses about the results.
