Mentoring Summer Challenge Reveal: Photographing a Prop in Nature

Our newest mentor Miriana proposed a summer challenge or exploration to go outdoors and create and interesting photograph of a prop in nature setting, making the prop the subject and nature the background or backdrop.

Some background information: Landscapes are beautiful to photograph with good light and sky. Creating an landscape image with a model or living thing in the frame can lead to very creative and interesting results. Unfortunately this can be hard to set up or lucky to capture. So Miriana started looking around for something interesting to photograph as subject in her sunrise compositions. A branch, a log… then she brought her own flowers, scarf… She found the images were fun to create and created unexpected interest to the picture.
